Fundraising and Transparency

My opponent is raising millions of dollars to try to convince you that his record is not a representation of who he is.

Actions speak louder than words.

Please help me spread the word on how I can make fundamental change to how business is done in Washington DC.

Chris Kyle's Spirit to help Veterans lives on through me

What my opponent's campaign funds go towards:

My opponent is raising millions of dollars to try to convince you that his record is not a representation of who he is.

Over 4 years, he has

  • Fought to weaken veterans by voting for a 22% budget cut to the Dept Veterans Affairs
  • Despite his role on the Committee of Energy, his presence is resoundingly absent from resolving the issues that caused the infamous February '21 Texas Freeze
  • Voted for Jim Jordan for Speaker of the House and associates with others who are determined to REMOVE Social Security and other government benefits that many in this District depend upon
  • Sponsored 2 bills into law of little significance (minting a coin and condemning the DC Penal Code)
  • Served in both Democratic and Republican controlled Houses and has shown in both cases he has neither the clout or leadership
  • Served in this most recent 118th Congress the least productive assembly since the Great Depression, providing only 27 bills to law this year when the average is over 300
  • Even the bills that have passed that benefit America such as the CHIPS Act, Infrastructure and Jobs Act, Inflation Act -- he has voted AGAINST their passing
  • This Congress has been out of session for 7 weeks for electing a Speaker - a period of time equating to 25% down time not working while global conflicts overrun our allies and our Servicemembers
  • Regarding our national enemies, he has done nothing but invite weakness.  He has consistently voted against aide to Ukraine.  He voted against the CHIPS Act which liberates the semiconductor industry from China's influence.  When Israel was attacked, rather than formulating a plan to support them he chose to spend energy on a frivolous claim that the US sent money to Iran.  Instead of passing immediate aide, they hid the aide proposal behind a tax cut for billionaires

No other industry tolerates this level ineffectiveness. Politics should not be a commercial profit center, it should be a public service.

To fight against this, I stand up today to bring common sense to office. This passion consumes me because this is not only personal for me but for my family and community, our backs are against the wall. The constituents of this district deserve to have their voice's heard. I am making incremental and positive change today in all these fields.  Together we can achieve so much more.

What I want to do:

In an effort to provide full transparency, I present below the areas where I would use political campaign contributions to spread the message that Texas does believe in choice, does believe in common sense, and is independent enough to make decisions for themselves in the face of an uncontrolled self serving national profit machine.
